Advanced Reactive Dog Rehab.

Living with and training a reactive dog can be tough. We can help!
In this advanced class, we will build on the skills you've learned in the Beginning Reactive Dog Rehab class or your private training sessions. To be eligible for this class, you should be able to meet the following criteria:
  • He or she can settle on their mat quietly for 5 minutes with support from you.
  • He or she understands the "Look at That" game and can play it with other dogs and people at a distance.
  • He or she can walk on a loose leash with supportive feedback from you.
  • You understand signs that your dog is getting close to threshold and know how to adjust criteria to help him or her out.

(Not quite there yet? The Beginning Reactive Dog Rehab class is designed to be repeated multiple times, or you can sign up for a private lesson to work on specific skills in a one-on-one session with an instructor.)

This class focuses extensively on helping your dog learn how to move calmly past other dogs and watch other dogs move without becoming excited or nervous. We'll also continue to build your handling skills so that you can remain calm in situations that used to stress you out. No more freaking out for either end of the leash! And just like our Beginning Reactive Dog Rehab class, we'll promote a supportive class environment where you and your dog can both feel safe practicing the new skills that will help you in day-to-day situations.
